About/Contact

Welcome!  You’re probably clicking here ’cause you’re curious about me!!

Who is Agent Fang?  Well, I’ve always wanted to be an undercover FBI agent with a code name.  Sadly, that never transpired, so I use it to my anonymity.  I’ll settle to being an undercover stock trader!

For 2012, I accumulated $4,000 in dividends from stocks and distributions from unit trusts.  As for my trades, I didn’t do so well as I was chasing profits out of thin air.  This year, I plan to drown out the chatter and tips from others and just do my own thing by being a buy and hold trader, maybe a swing trade here and there to keep my feathers ruffled up.  My ultimate goal is grow my stock portfolio to $200,000+ and live off my dividends and distributions!   I am more than half way there, but there is a hindrance to my plan.  End of 2013, I will be taking on the dreaded money drainer…  A mortgage!  With interest rates at its all time lows, it’s time for me to step into the home ownership once more.  I plan to put down a good 25% of the purchase price meaning I will have to dip into my stock portfolio to fund this 600 square foot condo in the suburbs of Vancouver, BC.

At 32, I lead a pretty ordinary, comfortable life.  I have a roof over my head, a car to drive around, a job to keep me afloat, but I want more!  Even though, my salary is on the lower scale than most people, I knew I would have to spend less to be able to save more.  I want out of the rat race like everyone else.  Saving and investing my money into stocks is the best way to financial freedom.  Seriously, I wouldn’t mind being the next Mini Buffet.  But I think I am at the back of the pack at this day and age.  It’s never too late to start up a goal and do it.  Just believe in yourself!

I always welcome emails for those boring days.  Please do write to me and I’ll get back to you:  agentfang@mail.com

Note:  This is a finance blog to document my personal experiences and trades in the stock market.  Some stocks I pick are not for the faint of heart.  I can be aggressive or passive in my investments.  Please do your own due diligence before investing any amount of money into a stock.  Happy stock hunting!
